Mariellyn Vivo Conference Coordinator | College Conference Of Wisconsin And Illinois

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced that Elmhurst's Kristin Bukata is the Student-Athlete of the Week in women's basketball. This announcement was made on Monday afternoon.

Bukata, who plays as a guard and stands at 5-foot-7, hails from Valparaiso, Indiana. Over two victories for Elmhurst University last week, she averaged 18 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2.5 steals.

In a game against Millikin last Wednesday, Bukata scored 14 points, secured seven rebounds, made three steals, and provided one assist to lead the Bluejays to an 80-60 victory. On Saturday, she contributed significantly with 22 points on a 10-for-17 shooting performance from the field. She also added five assists, four rebounds, and two steals in Elmhurst's narrow win over North Park with a score of 67-66.

Other CCIW Women’s Basketball Student-Athletes of the Week for the season include Annika Richardson from Wheaton on February 10 and January 20; Olivia Rangel from Carroll on February 3 and January 6; Mallory Powers from Illinois Wesleyan on January 27; Lauren Huber from Illinois Wesleyan on January 13 and December 23; Marianna Morrissey from Carthage on December 16; Paige Melton from Augustana on December 9; Jocelyn Trotter from North Central on December 2; Natalie Gricius from Carroll on November 25; and Annika Richardson again from Wheaton on November 18.
