Bryan Moore Associate Executive Director | College Conference Of Wisconsin And Illinois
The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced its selections for the Men's Indoor Track & Field Student-Athletes of the Week, recognizing outstanding performances from competitions held between February 3 and February 9.
The Millikin relay team, consisting of Dayton Lasack, Colin Griffin, Emmet Emmons, and Awstace Grauer, was honored in the track category. They achieved a season-best time of 3:18.54 in the 4x400 meter relay at the Indiana State Fairgrounds Invite in Indianapolis last Saturday. This time ranks as the fastest in the CCIW and 17th in Division III this season.
In the field category, Kyle Hensley from Millikin was recognized for his performance in pole vaulting. The sophomore from Mount Zion, Illinois secured second place with a mark of 5.00 meters at the same event in Indianapolis. His achievement is tied for fifth-best nationally this winter.
The list of weekly honorees also includes Jereme Ombogo from North Park and Braden Nicholson from North Central for track events on previous dates, while Colton Oleson and Ben Balboa from North Central have been recognized for field events.
