North Central College has retained its position as the third-ranked team in the Men's Division III National Track & Field Rating Index. This marks the third consecutive week that North Central holds this spot, according to the latest rankings released by the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Cardinals follow behind Wisconsin-La Crosse, ranked first, and Wisconsin-Oshkosh, which holds second place. North Central is also noted as the highest-ranked team from the Midwest region within the top 25. Other Midwest teams include Wartburg at eighth, Central at twelfth, Dubuque at twenty-second, and WashU at twenty-third.
Meanwhile, North Park was placed twenty-eighth among Division III teams on Tuesday after being ranked in each of the index's first two weeks. Carthage made a significant jump of fifteen positions to reach forty-sixth place, marking it as the largest climb among College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) teams from last week's rankings.
The USTFCCCA continues to update and modernize its Track & Field Rating Index (TFRI), which has been used since 2008 as a standard for objective team rankings in collegiate indoor and outdoor track and field.
