Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) has secured prominent positions in the latest national women's basketball polls. The Titans were ranked fourth in the D3hoops.com rankings released on Monday and fifth in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) poll published on Tuesday.

The team achieved a significant victory last Wednesday against Carroll, securing an 81-75 win in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) matchup. This marked their 20th consecutive win at the start of the season. However, their winning streak was halted on Saturday with an 87-81 loss to Carthage.

In terms of points, IWU received 536 in the D3hoops.com poll and 185 from the coaches' poll. NYU, Scranton, and Bowdoin—currently unbeaten teams in Division III—occupied the top three spots across both polls.

Carroll received 17 points in the D3hoops.com poll, ranking them fourth among unranked teams.
