The Illinois Tollway has unveiled new renderings and planning details for the I-490 project, a long-planned interstate highway. This project is set to connect the Jane Addams Tollway near Des Plaines with the Tri-State Tollway in Franklin Park. It will run along the western edge of O’Hare Airport.
According to Tollway officials, approximately seven miles of new interstate highway will be constructed. The highway will include connections to York Road, Irving Park Road, O’Hare Airport, and Illinois 390.
