DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin announced that Judge Ann Celine O'Hallaren Walsh has agreed to the State's request to reconsider a prior decision and detain Jermaine Badie. Badie, a resident of Naperville, is accused of shooting another man in the chest.
Berlin stated that the decision came after careful consideration of the circumstances surrounding the case. The ruling reverses an earlier judgment allowing Badie to remain free pending trial.
The incident involving Badie occurred on October 31, 2024. The legal proceedings will continue as authorities prepare for trial.
