State Representative Jennifer Sanalitro (R-Hanover Park) is joining communities across Illinois and the nation in observing November as National Adoption Month. As a member of the Illinois House of Representatives' Adoption and Child Welfare Committee, she emphasizes the significance of adoption and child welfare.
"Adoption changes lives, not just for the children who find permanent, loving families, but for the families who are enhanced by welcoming these children into their homes," said Rep. Sanalitro. "Since joining the legislature and serving on the Adoption and Child Welfare Committee, I’ve gained an even deeper understanding of the challenges facing adoptive families and the incredible opportunities we have to support them."
Rep. Sanalitro is focused on promoting legislation that simplifies the adoption process and ensures every child has a chance to grow up in a safe environment.
During National Adoption Month, she encourages residents of Illinois to learn more about adoption and consider supporting children in need of permanent homes.
