The Fall Native Tree and Shrub Sale offers a variety of events aimed at promoting native landscaping and the use of native plants in gardens. The event includes educational sessions, cocktail-making classes, and opportunities for participants to engage with plant experts.

One session, "Native Landscaping: Shrubs & Trees 101," invites attendees to join a panel of plant experts for an evening of discussion and problem-solving. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and receive tips on successfully growing native trees and shrubs. This session is open to individuals aged 18 and up, with a registration fee of $10 per person. Interested parties can register online or by calling 630-933-7248.

Another event, "Cocktails and Conservation: Homegrown Happy Hour," teaches participants how to craft cocktails and mocktails using native plants. Attendees will enjoy two drink tastings while learning about edible native plants before creating their own garden-to-bar concoction to take home. This session is available for those aged 21 and up, with a registration fee of $20 per person. Registration can be completed online or by calling 630-933-7248.

Additionally, "Cocktails and Conservation: Mason Jar Mixology" focuses on making tangy and refreshing drinks using infusions made from ingredients sourced from native shrubs and trees. Participants will create their own infusion in a mason jar while enjoying two drink tastings. This session also caters to individuals aged 21 and up, with a $20 registration fee per person. Registration is available online or by phone at 630-933-7248.

The organizers emphasize their commitment to connecting people with nature while promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging through their programs.
