Kids ages 15 and under are invited to experience the excitement of catching a fish at “Trout Fishing for Kids” on Saturday, March 25 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County’s Wood Dale Grove Forest Preserve in Wood Dale.
Participants will have the opportunity to fish in the 9-acre Grove Lake after it has been stocked with rainbow trout but before the official spring opener on April 1, enhancing their chances of success. Family members aged 16 and older may accompany the young anglers but are not permitted to fish themselves. The event is free and does not require registration.
Some fishing equipment will be available for loan, although participants are encouraged to bring their own gear. Bait will be provided.
The entrance to Wood Dale Grove Forest Preserve is located on Wood Dale Road, half a mile north of Lake Street. For more information, call 630-933-7248.
