In an early March social media update, Robert Stevens, a candidate for the House of Representatives, disseminated a list of early voting and registration sites across DuPage County. This information was originally shared via a link from the DuPage County Republicans.

According to his campaign website, Stevens' platform encompasses issues such as parental rights, taxation and cost of living, crime, opioids/opiates, and inflation. On the subject of parental rights, Stevens asserts that parents should always have the right to be informed about their children's school curriculum. He insists on absolute transparency from schools regarding what students are learning and believes that students should receive the best education without being exploited for indoctrination purposes.

Regarding taxation and cost of living, Stevens notes that Illinois residents face some of the highest taxes in the country. He identifies one of his top priorities as reducing the rising cost of living and implementing solutions that lower taxes in the state.

Stevens also addresses crime in DuPage community, highlighting instances of carjackings, shootings (including incidents at Oak Brook Mall and Safari Land), home invasions, and other acts of violence which he describes as unexpected. He draws a comparison between Cook and DuPage Counties, noting that DuPage used to be a refuge from problems in Cook County.

On March 7th via Facebook post, Stevens announced a primary watch and fundraiser event scheduled for March 19th from 12 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. The event will take place at Ki’s Steak and Seafood located at 705 E. North Ave., Glendale Heights. The event also offers several sponsorship levels for individuals interested in supporting Stevens’ campaign.

Ballotpedia records indicate this is not Stevens' first attempt to represent District 46 constituents. In the 2022 general election, he competed against Democrat Diane Blair-Sherlock and received 12,348 votes compared to Blair-Sherlock’s tally of 16,054 votes.

Stevens states on his campaign website that he remains optimistic about Illinois' potential for improvement and aspires to represent the voices of those residing in the 46th District.
