Mark Rice, a candidate for the 8th Congressional District, has launched accusations against his opponent, U.S. Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Ill.). Rice claims that Krishnamoorthi, as the ranking member for the Select Committee on US and Chinese Communist Party (CCP) relations, has allowed the CCP to strengthen its position and infiltrate the United States.

“Dem Rep Raja Krishnamoorthi is a fox FOR the CCP, guarding the hen house,” Rice said on Facebook. “We see as ranking member for Select Committee on US and CCP relations, this guy has ALLOWED the last several years the CCP to embolden and infiltrate our country.”

“It’s under his watch he’s made CCP the biggest threat to our national security and economy. Under his horrible leadership the CCP unleashed a virus and bought up farm land and bought off politicians including democrat party leader Joe Biden, whom Raja has endorsed again.”

Rice further accuses Krishnamoorthi of ignoring bank statements obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by the House Oversight Committee. These statements allegedly show payments from CCP being laundered to Biden and his family. 

"Raja doesn’t give a damn his party leader is compromised by the CCP," Rice added. 

He also called upon citizens to unseat both Krishnamoorthi and President Joe Biden in 2024.

Paul Hurst in an article in Illinois Review criticized Krishnamoorthi’s approach as prioritizing lenience towards China while displaying intolerance towards Americans who disagree with him politically. 

"Had the Biden Administration and Democrat Representatives including Raja focused less on dismantling all the successes of the prior administration, we could be celebrating America and leading the rest of the world into an era of increased freedom, prosperity and peace," Hurst wrote. 

Hurst also argued that the administration's plea for leniency towards Communist 'friends' and self-examination, coupled with Krishnamoorthi’s soft approach on China and failure to address pressing issues such as border security and economic challenges, puts the nation at risk.

IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley claimed that he was restricted from investigating business deals involving President Joe Biden. 

"I would say that they limited certain investigative leads that could have potentially provided information on the president of the United States," Shapley stated. 

Rice's campaign for the 8th Congressional District emphasizes key issues including promoting economic growth, upholding fiscal responsibility, enacting tax relief, and addressing immigration reform and border security. Rice has resided in Illinois for 35 years and currently serves as CEO of Energy CX, a significant position in the energy sector.

The 8th Congressional District includes northern Cook County, northern DuPage County and northeast Kane County. It is currently represented by U.S. Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-Ill.), who was elected to Congress in 2016, according to his website.
