This week, from November 13-17, we celebrate American Education Week, a time to reflect on the fantastic schools in the U.S. and our local area. As we commemorate this occasion, it is important to express gratitude to everyone who plays a role in our schools.

One significant day during this week is National Education Support Professionals Day, which falls on November 15. This day serves as an opportunity to thank the individuals who make our schools run smoothly. From office workers to cleaners, cafeteria staff to bus drivers, these professionals ensure our schools are safe, clean, and nurturing environments for children to learn and grow. As we acknowledge their contributions, we recognize the vital role they play in the educational experience.

As American Education Week draws to a close on November 17, we observe Substitute Teachers Day. This day allows us to express our appreciation for the often overlooked yet highly important substitute teachers. When regular teachers are unable to be present, substitute teachers step in to maintain the flow of learning within the classroom. Their dedication ensures that students continue to receive a quality education even in the absence of their regular teacher.
