Rep Sanalitro Delivers for Students
Sanalitro's office in Carol Stream recently collected school supplies over a two-week period to support students and families in need within the district. With the rising costs of back-to-school shopping, Sanalitro recognizes the importance of providing necessary supplies to promote learning and boost self-esteem in students."Starting the school year with the necessary school supplies promotes learning, boosts self-esteem, and helps keep kids in school," Sanalitro stated. "School supply drives ensure that all kids have the same opportunities to start the school year right."
Senior Expo 2023
Sanalitro, along with State Senator Seth Lewis, hosted a Senior Expo last month in Roselle Park District. The event aimed to provide resources and services tailored to the senior community, including health screenings and information on financial planning and assisted living options."The event became a one-stop-shop for seniors to get in the know and make the most of the local resources available to help them live better," Sanalitro said. She expressed her gratitude to the attendees, vendors, and volunteers who contributed to the success of the Senior Expo.
IMA 'Made in Illinois' Program
The Illinois Manufacturers' Association hosts the annual 'Makers Madness' contest, celebrating the work of manufacturers across the state. The competition showcases unique products made in Illinois, with nearly 250 nominations this year. Sanalitro highlighted the diversity and strength of Illinois' manufacturing industry.Rep. In preparation for the implementation of the SAFE-T Act, Sanalitro organized a roundtable discussion with local law enforcement officials. The aim of the event was to address public safety concerns in House District 48 and throughout Illinois."Every family in our district and throughout our state deserves to feel safe in their homes and communities," Sanalitro emphasized. She expressed concerns about increasing crime rates and emphasized the need for input from law enforcement professionals in shaping public safety policies.
Rep Sanalitro Hosts Press Conference on Property Taxes
Sanalitro addressed the issue of high property taxes and their impact on homeowners and local economies. She highlighted the regressive nature of property taxes and how they hinder economic growth."When property taxes are too high, so are rent payments. If rent payments are too high, then small businesses close or go elsewhere. This leaves people out of work, commercial spaces empty, and less economic vibrancy within our communities," Sanalitro explained.
DuPage County Farm Bureau Names Sanalitro "Outstanding State Representative"
The DuPage County Farm Bureau recognized Sanalitro as the recipient of the 2023 Outstanding State Representative Award. Sanalitro expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to represent the agriculture community in DuPage County and the entire state."I look forward to continuing my support for local farms when we are back debating legislation in Springfield," Sanalitro said.
