Time to Go Chorin’
Ever wanted to spend the day as a farmer? Here's your chance to try your hand at different chores while learning about the importance of 1890s dairy farms and how their legacy is still around today. The event will take place from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Kline Creek Farm, located at 1N600 County Farm Road in West Chicago. This living history farm is owned and operated by the Forest Preserve District. Suggested admission to the event is a donation of $5 per person for ages 3 and older.

Kayaking Adventure Series
Grab some sunscreen and a towel and head out to the river with this four-week-long adventure series. Learn the basics of kayaking from rangers and explore different rivers in the area each week. The first class runs from 10 a.m. until noon at Herrick Lake, located at 3S580 Naperville Road in Wheaton. Equipment for the class is provided; participants ages 12 and up are welcome (under 18 with adult supervision). Online registration for the class is required; the cost for the session is $80.
