Turnout Report: 118K DuPage voters cast ballots in Consolidated Election, 19 percent turnout

DuPage County voter turnout in the April 4, 2023 Consolidated Election was 118,191, or about 19 percent of 610,092 registered voters.

That's according to the DuPage County Clerk's unofficial results.

Approximately 127 voters cast ballots in each of DuPage County's 930 precincts, up from 112 in 2021.

DuPage County voters cast 13 percent more ballots-- an increase of 13,932-- in 2023 than in the last Consolidated Election, on April 6, 2021.

DuPage County turnout in 2023 was two percentage points higher than 2021, when it was 17 percent.

Compared with other Chicagoland counties, DuPage County had the highest turnout percentage.

Consolidated Election turnout in Kane and Will Counties was 16 percent, 15 percent in Kendall County and in Suburban Cook County, 14 percent.

Turnout was 12 percent in Lake and McHenry Counties.

In the City of Chicago, turnout was 35 percent.

The DuPage County Consolidated Election included contests for elected office in cities and villages, parks, library and fire protection districts and school boards.
