Midwestern University Graduate Nursing Program Faculty Present at American Nurses Credentialing Center Research Symposium

On October 12, Misty Pagan, D.N.P, A.P.R.N, AGNP-C, Program Director, Graduate Nursing Program, presented at the American Nurses Credentialing Center Research Symposium in Philadelphia, PA. This year, the Symposium’s focus was on Fostering Inclusivity and Belonging: Workforce Pipeline and Health Equity.

Dr. Pagan’s presentation was titled Interprofessional Education and Promotion of Health Equity: The Heart of a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program. She discussed strategies to provide clinical opportunities for students who are underrepresented in medicine and science, as well as the importance of promoting health equity within the field of nursing.
