The Elmhurst University wrestling team dropped a heartbreaking dual meet to Augustana College by a final team score of 20-19 Thursday evening in the Roy J. Carver Center.
Elmhurst (0-2, 0-2 CCIW) quickly went down in the dual, with the Vikings winning three of the first four matches to move the team score to 14-3. However, the Bluejays began to mount a comeback, winning three of the next five matches to move within striking distance in the final match before ultimately falling one point short of the host Augustana (1-0, 1-0 CCIW).
The Bluejays earned individual match victories from sophomore Troy Mock at 141, juniors Ronald Massari at 157 and Norbert Crecan at 184, and freshman Colin O'Neil at 197.
