Men's Soccer Draws Carthage

The Elmhurst University men's soccer team tied Carthage College, 2-2, in its final regular season contest at Art Keller Field.

Carthage (7-6-5/4-1-3 CCIW) struck first with a goal by Mickey Reilly in the 10th minute of play.

Elmhurst (7-7-3/3-3-2 CCIW) tied the contest up at one apiece in the 28th minute with a goal by Anthony Bartlett.

The Bluejays took a 2-1 lead in the 67th minute after a goal from Ilija Jerinic off of a pass by Dylan Ollendieck.

With under three minutes left in the game, Reilly tallied his second goal of the contest for the Firebirds, tying the game up once more at 2-2.  

Christian Lekki collected two saves for Carthage, while Noah Reed grabbed seven saves for Elmhurst in the draw.

Elmhurst will play in the CCIW Tournament Quarterfinal on October 29, 2022.
