Pekau for Congress has issued the following press release:
October 18, 2022 – As Nancy Pelosi’s House Majority PAC pulls funding out of Sean Casten’s Sixth District re-election campaign, Keith Pekau has announced a strong third quarter fundraising haul of $625,206.60, with $587,706.60 raised for Pekau for Congress and an additional $37,500 in funds raised for Pekau Victory.
The funds raised in Q3, in addition to a record as mayor that has gotten national attention, have put Pekau in a position to flip Illinois Six.
“I launched this campaign with a mission to put people over politics and return common sense leadership to Washington,” said Pekau. “I’m proud that an overwhelming amount of support came from individual contributors, people and businesses mostly inside the state of Illinois. In contrast, Congressman Casten relies on corporate PACs and special interest groups for funding. That’s the contrast in this election: He’s working to line his pockets and those of his political allies. I am running to protect communities and your pocketbooks.
“I am incredibly grateful for the support and generosity so many have shown. Now, we’re going to take it over the finish line.”
