City of Naperville Sister Cities Commission met May 11.

A. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Fuhrer called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.
B. ROLL CALL:
PRESENT: Donofrio, Wang, Rudolph, Fuhrer, Luo,(Arista arrived at 6:38 pm)
STUDENT REPS PRESENT: Zach, Mohammad
OTHERS PRESENT: Councilwoman Gustin, Rachel Pruneda
Approve Sister Commission minutes of April 13, 2022
C. PUBLIC FORUM:
Nina Menis, Executive Director for KidsMatter addressed the Commissioners to invite Sister Cities Commission to participate in the Kite Festival being held at Frontier Park on June 5, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Receive and file the Treasurer’s Report through April 2022
The Treasurer's Report has been received and filed.
CHAIRMAN'S REPORT: Chairman Fuhrer
Chairman Fuhrer reported that he will be meeting with Sister Cities Foundation after June 4th to discuss our participation in the Hispanic Festival.
COUNCILWOMAN'S REPORT: Councilwoman Patty Gustin
FOUNDATION UPDATE: Commissioner Wang
SISTER CITY UPDATE: Commissioner Lowe
F. NEW BUSINESS:
Under Public Forum, Nina Menis addressed the Commission to ask if we would like to participate in the Kite Festival this year. Commissioners expressed an interest therefore, a motion was made by Rudolph for Sister Cities to participate in the Kite Festival with a spending budget in an amount not to exceed $250. Seconded by Donofrio. Motion passed with the following vote: Donofrio, Wang, Rudolph, Fuhrer, Luo (5 AYES) (0 NAYS). Motion passes.
Commissioner Donofrio expressed his interest in working with an ambassador network group to bring several different organizations together to work for a similar cause.
G. ADJOURNMENT:
A motion was made by Rudolph to adjourn the meeting at 7:39 pm, seconded by Wang. Motion passes by voice vote.
