Kathleen H. Goeppinger, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer of Midwestern University, is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura M. Rosch, D.O., C.S., M.S., FACOI, to the position of Dean of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (CCOM). Her appointment went into effect on July 1, 2022.
Dr. Rosch graduated from CCOM in 1990 and has a long and distinguished career as a physician, educator, and academic leader. Dr. Rosch began her career as a hospitalist and Medical Director of Wellspring Family Care in Barrington, Illinois in 1994. She also served as a clinical instructor and preceptor for CCOM from 1994 to 2018. Additionally, Dr. Rosch was the director of the Transitional Internship program as well as the Osteopathic Internal Medicine Residency program at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Chicago from 2003 to 2011. She received the outstanding clinical instructor award from Mt. Sinai hospital in 2011. From 2013 to 2018, Dr. Rosch was Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine and worked as a hospitalist and preceptor at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Most recently, Dr. Rosch served as the Dean of the Joplin Campus for Kansas City University from 2019 until 2022.

As our world changes, we will adapt and grow, mindful that at the forefront is the education of future osteopathic physicians,” Dr. Rosch said.
In addition, Dr. Rosch serves on the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Board of Deans, the American Osteopathic Association House of Delegates and is a current board member of the American College of Osteopathic Internists. She is the past president of the Illinois Osteopathic Medical Society and the past Medical Representative for Kansas City University’s Joplin Health Department, a position she held during the COVID-19 pandemic.
