This 5K Fun Run will wind down the streets of Wheaton and through Northside Park.  It is hosted in partnership with the Rotary Club of Wheaton AM.

Join Museum staff as we tour the Together We Win: DuPage in World War II exhibit one last time before it comes down April 16. Register to receive the Zoom link.

Backyard Birders

April 9 | 2-3:15P | Ages 4 & up | $8 per person

Birds are all around us! Learn how to attract birds to your backyard and make a bird feeder. You'll also learn how to identify some common backyard bird species using the Merlin Bird ID app.  Register by April 2.

Junior Animal Trainer

April 15 | 10A-12P | Ages 8-11 | $30 per person

Training animals is a very important part of a zookeeper’s job. Training sessions allow the animals to participate in their own health care and keep them physically and mentally active. Training is also a lot of fun!

Our Junior Animal Trainers will learn everything they need to know about animal training, then practice their skills with some interactive games. For those with pets at home, you’ll learn some techniques you can use with your own animals.

Conservation at Cosley Zoo (virtual)

April 20 | 7-7:30P | Adults | $12 per login

Accredited zoos and aquariums have become leaders in the field of conservation. Celebrate Earth Day by learning more about the conservation efforts of zoos and aquariums worldwide, including the initiatives we participate in right here at Cosley Zoo.

Proceeds from this program support Cosley Zoo's conservation projects. Register by April 16.

From Tudor Queens to Pop Princesses, SIX wives of Henry VIII take the mic to reclaim their identities out of the shadow of their infamous spouse – remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an exuberant celebration of 21st century girl power. The female cast are backed by an all-female band, the “Ladies in Waiting.” Enjoy a royal feast at the Grand Luxe Café. Start your meal with a house green salad followed by a choice of entrée: 1) simply grilled salmon, 2) chicken royale with a white wine butter sauce or 3) braised pot roast with key lime pie for dessert. Please make your entrée choice at time of registration.

Earth Day Play Date

Celebrate Earth Day with a Nature Play Date at Lincoln Marsh.

Enjoy activities and open play then stay afterwards for a picnic lunch. Registration requested. Find out more  

Midnight at the Masquerade

April 22 | 6:30-9:30P | Adults | Arrowhead Golf Club

Help solve the murder at the Billionaires Club Annual Masquerade Ball and enjoy a plated three course dinner.  You will take part in getting the ball back on track by solving the crime before the masked menace gets away.  

Enjoy a plated three course dinner:

  • Wedge Salad | bacon, tomato, scallions, ranch
  • Steak au Poivre | sirloin steak, cognac pepper cream, whipped potatoes, haricot vert
  • Cheesecake | blueberry cobbler white chocolate
  • There will be a cash bar

Family Enrichment Workshop

April 24 | 12:30-1:30P | Recommended for families with children age 5 & up

 $8 per person

Cosley Zoo’s animals receive enrichment every day. Enrichment lets our animals make choices and exhibit natural behaviors such as climbing, hunting for food, and using their senses. In this workshop, your family will make enrichment activities for some of the zoo’s animals, and then we’ll head out into the zoo to see enrichment in action! Each of the monthly sessions is different, so join us all year round. After the program, you’re welcome to stay and tour the zoo on your own at no additional charge.

Sunset Stories

April 29 | 6:30-7:30P | Ages 2 & up | $8 per person 

Bring the family to Cosley Zoo for story time! After hearing some stories and meeting one of the zoo's animal ambassadors, your family will have 30 minutes for an after-hours self-guided trip around the zoo.

The stories and animal visit will take place indoors in the Kiebler Room located on the second floor of the large barn. Please note that the Kiebler Room is accessible only by stairs.

All individuals in attendance, regardless of age, need to be registered. Walk up registrations will not be available. Register

Go Fly a Kite

May 7 | 10A-1P | Graf Park 

Whether you’re an avid kite flyer or taking the family out for the first time, this is a great event for young and old! Watch kite demonstrations and participate in our Grand Launch. Concessions will be available along with activities, kite sales and a small business expo. Bring your own kite or purchase one at the event. Learn more
