IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR
CITY OF DARIEN RESIDENTS
LRS will be the new waste, recycling and yard waste service provider
for Darien beginning APRIL 1, 2022
YOUR FINAL WASTE MANAGEMENT COLLECTION DAY
March 25, 2022 - Final Friday
March 28, 2022 - Final Monday
March 29, 2022 - Final Tuesday
March 30, 2022 - Final Wednesday
March 31, 2022 - Final Thursday
LEAVE YOUR CARTS AT THE CURB ON THE ABOVE DATE AND DAY
UNTIL THEY ARE REMOVED BY WASTE MANAGEMENT
Veolia, Advanced Disposal, WM carts must remain at the curb after the last pick-up on your final collection day. Cart(s) are scheduled to be removed within one day.
Call Waste Management at 800.796.9696
if they have not removed their carts by Monday, April 4th.
WM WILL NOT EMPTY THE LRS CARTS.
DO NOT USE LRS CARTS UNTIL AFTER YOUR FINAL WM COLLECTION DAY.
Waste stickers and 18 gallon recycle bins will no longer be used as of April 1, 2022.

No change to pick-up days
All items must be out by 6:00 AM
Garbage, recycle and yard waste pick up time of day will change
NEW LRS CARTS
- New LRS carts will arrive before Waste Management removes their carts so you will have a place to put your materials when they’re removed.
- Cart deliveries for residents who submitted orders before the February cut-off date, will begin as soon as Friday, March 18th to arrive before March 27th.
- LRS carts may arrive at different times, for example, the recycle cart may arrive a day before the garbage cart.
- Cart lids may be uneven with the cart upon arrival and could take up to two weeks to settle evenly with the cart body. This is not a defect.
- Waste Management will not service LRS carts.
- LRS will not service WM carts.
