Illinois 5Essentials Survey for Parents
Deadline March 11
This Friday, March 11 is the deadline for parents, students and teachers to participate in the annual statewide Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey is designed to generate a detailed picture of your child’s school as it relates to the important elements of school effectiveness.
On behalf of the Illinois State Board of Education, the Illinois 5Essentials Survey is administered online by the University of Chicago. All survey responses will be kept confidential. The state will provide survey results for individual schools only if a school has at least 20 percent of parents take the survey. If you have children attending more than one school, we ask that you complete the survey for each school.
To take this short survey:
1. Visit 5 Essentials Survey Link
2. Type and select “Dupage” as "County." (The county is the location of the school district's main office.)
3. Type your school's name into the "School" field and select your school.

2021-22 Calendar Change Reminder
March 15
As a reminder, District 204’s 2021-22 school year calendar was amended by the Board of Education on October 18, 2021.
Because the state's primary election had initially been scheduled for March 15, that day was originally listed in our calendar as a No School day.
With the primary election now rescheduled to June, March 15 will be a regular day of attendance.

Billy Elton Benefit Concert at Neuqua Valley
March 18
Billy Elton will be making their seventh appearance in the Neuqua Valley High School Auditorium on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. to perform a benefit concert. Billy Elton is a band that celebrates the music of Billy Joel and Elton John, and features Reid Spears on piano and lead vocals.
The band was previously scheduled to perform their last benefit concert at Neuqua Valley on Friday, March 13, 2020. However, due to the onset of the pandemic, the performance was canceled just the day before it was scheduled to take place.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, with general admission seating. Tickets may be purchased in advance on the Neuqua Valley music website. For anyone who chose not to get a refund on the canceled 2020 event and are still holding those tickets, they will be honored at the door.
Explore 204: Hiking Club
In the fall, after a year and a half of being isolated and indoors, Waubonsie Valley started a hiking club to reconnect with nature and each other. As spring weather approaches, the club is looking forward to getting back outdoors. Watch the video here.
