1. CALL TO ORDER

10:00 AM meeting was called to order by Chair Donald Puchalski at 10:00 AM.

5. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

6. PROCUREMENT REQUISITIONS

A. DT-P-0433-21 Recommendation for approval of a contract purchase order to Gasaway Distributors, Inc., for the purchase of liquid calcium chloride, as needed for the Division of Transportation, for the period December 5, 2021 through September 30, 2023, for a contract total not to exceed $48,800; Contract let pursuant to the Joint Purchasing Act [State of Illinois].

DT-R-0520-21 RESOLUTION -- Intergovernmental Agreement between the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority, the County of DuPage and the Village of Bensenville for improvements along the Elgin-O'Hare Western Access Roadway & Bridge Ramp Construction, Bensenville Watermain for Fire Suppression System, Right of Way Fence Installation and O'Hare Ramp to I390 Construction (No County Cost)

County to be reimbursed $990,000 from developer escrowed funds.

9. REPORT FROM STATE'S ATTORNEY

No report was offered.

10. OLD BUSINESS

Director Snyder reminded the Transportation Committee Members that the virtual public hearing for the Long Range Transportation Plan is currently online for public comment and it will close this Friday. He urged the members to visit the site, if they haven't already.

11. NEW BUSINESS

Director Snyder reported that the President signed into law, a new $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Bill. He stated that $9.8 billion are allocated for highways and $1.4 billion are for bridges. Director Snyder noted that funding for the roads and bridges will be allocated to the state. The County will have the ability to access these federal dollars through various grant opportunities at the local, regional, and state levels. Discussions were held.
