Report: Elmhurst School District spent $14,773 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 was up 7.5 percent from five years ago, according to the DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dupage County school district spent $13,744 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,773 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 8,436 to 8,563 students over the same period.

Elmhurst's spending in 2019-20 was 1.9 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
