DuPage County Technology Committee met Aug. 24.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

1. CALL TO ORDER

7:30 AM meeting was called to order by Chair Ashley Selmon at 7:31 AM.

2. ROLL CALL

PRESENT: Adams, Berlin, Carrier, Chavez, Eckhoff, Hart, Henry, Mendrick, Rutledge (7:38 AM), Selmon

ABSENT: DiCianni, White

Conor McCarthy was present as a representative for Bob Berlin, State's Attorney. Paul Hinds was present as a representative for Gwen Henry, County Treasurer. John Putnam was present as a representative for Sheriff James Mendrick. County Board Paula Deacon Garcia was also in attendance.

A. Technology Committee - Regular Meeting - Aug 10, 2021 7:30 AM

6. PROCUREMENT REQUISITIONS

A. TE-P-0345-21 Recommendation for the approval of a contract purchase order to CDW Government, Inc., for the annual maintenance and support of Veritas Netbackup software, for Information Technology, for a contract total amount of $39,617.97, per Cooperative Purchasing Agreement Pricing, in compliance with 30 ILCS 525/2 "Governmental Joint Purchasing Act" - National IPA/TCPM #2018011-01. Pricing was also obtained from SHI International using the National Joint Powers Alliance / Sourcewell Contract and Insight using the OMNIA Partners contract. CDW-G was the lowest cost.

B. TE-P-0346-21 Recommendation for the approval of a contract purchase order to KARA Company, Inc., for the management of the County GPS CORS sites, to include operating, monitoring and upgrading of software and firmware, for Information Technology - GIS Division. This contract covers the period of September 1, 2021 through August 31, 2022, for a contract total amount of $39,500. Exempt from bidding per 55 ILCS 5/5-1022 “Competitive Bids” (c) not suitable for competitive bids - Sole Source. KARA Company is the only known vendor for this service.

A. 2021-70 Recommendation for the approval to Kronos, Incorporated for software support services for the Kronos Automated Time and Attendance System and Knowledge Pass (educational services subscription), for the DuPage Care Center, for the period September 28, 2021 through September 27, 2022, for a contract total amount not to exceed $23,083.78, per 55 ILCS 5/5-1022 Competitive Bids (d) IT/Telecom purchases under $35,000.00

8. PRESENTATION

A. Recorder's Office FY2022 Budget Presentation

Member Kathleen Carrier, County Recorder, provided an overview of the proposed FY2022 Recorder's Office budget, as attached hereto.

Member Hart asked if the two headcount reduction is permanent to which Anthony Manzzullo, Chief Deputy Recorder, replied yes. Member Hart then asked what positions those headcounts were, to which Mr. Manzzullo responded one was an administrative position and the other was an office assistant.

Member Rutledge entered the meeting during the Recorder's budget presentation.

RESULT: ANNOUNCED

10. NEW BUSINESS

No new business was discussed.

11. ADJOURNMENT

With no further business the meeting was adjourned.
