City of Wood Dale Board of Police and Fire Commissioners met Oct. 4.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
1. CALL TO ORDER:
Chairman Joseph Minard called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Present: Chairman Joseph Minard, Vice Chairman Kristen Trentadue
Absent: Secretary Sabrina Abbrescia
Also Present: Officer Chris Banaszynski; Sergeants’ Written Examination participants: Officers P. Fajardo, J. Bjes, E. Grant, A. Zlotnicki, Johnston, A. Rygula, and R. Lyons (Deickmann)
Chairman Joseph Minard made a motion to suspend the Rules of Order at 6:05 pm. to conduct the Sergeants Written Examination. The Written Examination was completed at 7:30 p,m,
The Board conducted an Oral Interview for Promotion to Sergeant for Officer Chris Banazyski.
2. READING OF THE MINUTES:
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Board of Fire & Police Commissioners held on September 13, 2021 were read, and upon a motion duly made, seconded and unanimously passed, were accepted as corrected.
3. CORRESPONDENCE:
The Board is in receipt of the following items of correspondence:
An Invoices from Elmhurst Occupational Health for services rendered for police Candidate David Kozak, the Secretary will forward it to Chief Vesta for payment.
An Invoice and test results from DuPage Optical, Inc., Conrad Polygraph Services,and Stanard & Associates for services rendered for police Candidate Bryan Madden. The Secretary will forward them to Chief Vesta for payment.
A Membership renewal for the 2022 Illinois Board of Fire & Police Commissioners. The Secretary has forwarded it for payment.
4. OLD BUSINESS:
The Board is in the process of filling Two (2) vacancies in the Wood Dale Police Department.
2021 Original Appointment Testing Program:
The Board has established the 2021 Original Appointment Eligibility Register which lists 51 Candidates effective 12:01 a.m. October 4, 2021 and expires 12:01 a.m. October 4, 2023. The Secretary is advised to notify the candidates.
2021 Sergeants Promotional Testing Program:
The Board conducted the Sergeant’s Promotional Written Examination. Oral Interviews/Assessment Center will be conducted on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 beginning at 8:00 a.m. Study materials have been made available to those interested in testing.
In conformance with the Open Meetings Act and State Statutes, the Board has reviewed all closed meetings for the past six (6) months.
Commissioners Sabrina Abbrescia and Kristen Trentadue will attend the Fall Seminar of the Illinois Fire & Police Commissioners Association held in Naperville, IL on November 5th thru 7th.
5. NEW BUSINESS:
There was no new business.
6. ADJOURNMENT:
There being no further business before the Board, a motion was duly made, seconded and unanimously passed to adjourn this meeting at 8:40 p.m.
The next Regular Meeting of the Board will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.
