Save the date for Coffee-Time Conversation
Families interested in meeting other parent/caregivers of young adults with disabilities
are invited to join Coffee-Time Conversation, an informal group setting.
Topic: Planning an Individualized Meaningful Day in Adulthood: Getting Started

COVID-19 dashboard updated
We updated data on our COVID-19 dashboard. The dashboard is updated each week that school is in session.
East to host Halloween Concert for Kids on Oct. 21
Looking for a fun, pre-Halloween activity for your family? Check out the Glenbard East orchestras’ Halloween concert for kids at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, in the East Gym. Note that this is a time change from what was previously announced. East will take a magical journey through fantasy and folklore, with music about dragons, horsemen, trolls and ancient myths. This one-hour event is appropriate for children of all ages. One hundred students from Concert Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and EaStrings will perform together in this concert. Students will perform in costume, and audience members are invited to wear costumes as well.
Admission is $3 for adults and free for everyone younger than 18. Tickets may be purchase at the door or at this link.
Also, Glenbard East Music Association will host a fund-raiser from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 21 at Portillo’s, 1500 Butterfield Road in Downers Grove. That evening, show this flier, and 20% of proceeds will go to Glenbard East Music Association.
Congratulations to girls tennis state qualifiers
Congratulations to the following students who qualified for the IHSA girls tennis state finals: Glenbard South student Lorenza FosterSimbulan and Glenbard West students Shannele Lopez, Elizabeth Fausey, Mira Kernagis, Maggie McFarland and Norah Chirila.
Meal delivery event to benefit Booster Club
From Oct. 21 through 27, Meal Village, a local meal delivery service, will donate 30% of sales to the Glenbard South Booster Club when their fundraiser is mentioned or the promo code South21 is used at this link. This is an easy way to have healthy, delicious food delivered to your home and support students.
Transportation, custodial & food service partners are hiring
Due to a national labor shortage, we are experiencing shortages in a variety of areas, including contracted busing, custodial and food service. Our contracted third-party vendors are hiring. See below for application information and share the information with those in a job search.
