Two early childhood webinars to teach coping skills for young children
The Glenbard Parent Series: (GPS) Navigating Healthy Families will present Social Skills and Anxiety Solutions for the Early Child: Start Strong with Janine Halloran at noon and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, via Zoom. A child’s social and emotional skills in kindergarten might be the biggest predictor of success in adulthood. However, many young children have a hard time handling their emotions. Coping mechanisms help young people with these struggles. This early child webinar will expand upon the skills children have in place to help them handle strong feelings and will share a foundation designed to assist young children in developing skills that work for them, so they can interact with others in a healthy, happy way.
Halloran is a licensed mental health counselor who has been working primarily with children and adolescents for more than 15 years. She is an author and entrepreneur, who has developed businesses to support families and professionals who work with children and teens.
