Village of Roselle issued the following announcement on Aug. 19
Village Board Meeting August 23
The Village Board will meet in the Council Chambers at Village Hall on August 23 at 7:00 p.m., with the meeting streamed live on the Village's YouTube channel. The meeting agenda will be posted on the Village's website tomorrow.
The public may submit a comment or question for Village Board consideration ahead of time by using the Village Board Meeting Public Participation form by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting.
Live comments will be accepted by in-person attendees during the meeting. Masks are required by attendees entering Village Hall.
Last Summer 2021 Concert Series Show Tonight at Odlum Park
The last show in the Summer 2021 Concert Series is tonight at Odlum Park, featuring Big Dog Mercer starting at 6:00 p.m. Doctor Dogs and Dairy Queen will be on site with food for purchase.
The Summer 2021 Concert Series is sponsored by the Roselle Park District and the Village of Roselle and features live music throughout the community, including at Turner Park, Clauss Recreation Center, Kemmerling Pool, and Downtown Roselle. Coffee for Champions Special Olympic Fundraiser Tomorrow
Roselle Police Officers is pasing out donuts to donors at Dunkin' Donuts, 247 E. Irving Park Rd., tomorrow, August 20 from 5:00 a.m. to noon to raise funds to benefit Special Olympics athletes and programs.
Police officers from throughout the state have partnered with Dunkin' Donuts for nearly 20 years to heighten awareness and raise donations for the Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.
Roselle Fire Department Offering CPR Course September 2
The Roselle Fire Department is offering a Heartsaver CPR/AED course on Thursday, September 2 at the Fire Station, 100 E. Maple Ave., from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The course size will be limited to ensure social distancing requirements are met, and face coverings must be worn by participants. The cost of the course is $45, paid in advance.
The course teaches all lay rescuers when to phone 9-1-1, how to administer CPR, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and how to provide relief from choking. Participants of this class will be certified by the American Heart Association in the Heartsaver AED course.
The Roselle Fire Department also offers a Heartsaver Blended Learning course, which includes an online portion and a hands-on session. Cost for the Heartsaver/AED Skills Check course is $35. Roselle Chamber of Commerce Hosting Sip and Stroll Event September 18
The Roselle Chamber of Commerce invites the community to participate in the Roselle Sip & Stroll event on September 18, featuring the following businesses in Roselle's Town Center: Friendly Ford featuring Mangy Dog's Pub (start), Bulldog Ale House, Cofelo's Corner, Dini's Ice Cream Shoppe, Doctor Dogs, Italian Pizza Kitchen, Juice & Berry, Little Market, Little Red Ribbon Boutique featuring Lights, Camera Dancin', Lynfred Winery, Pollyanna Brewing Company Roselare, Prospect Street Market featuring That Rub, and Roselle American Legion Post 1084.
Event details:
- Participants must check in and begin at Friendly Ford, 333 E. Irving Park Rd., between 1:00 and 2:00 p.m. where wristbands and maps will be distributed.
- Participants may proceed to remaining venues in order of their own preference.
- Event wraps up back at Friendly Ford at 5:00 p.m. with an end-of-event prize drawing.
- Parking is available at BMO Harris Bank and Roselle American Legion Hall.
- Participants must be at least 21 years of age.

Roselle Cruise Night August 20
Friday nights are cruise nights in Roselle. Roselle Cruise Night on August 20 runs from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Roselle American Legion Post 1084, 344 E. Maple Ave., with live music from Croozin' the Loop at 7:00 p.m.
Kids Against Hunger Hosting 5K Fundraiser August 28
The 7th Annual Kids Against Hunger - Race to Stop Hunger 5K will be held on August 28 at the former Indian Lakes Golf Course, 250 W Schick Rd, Bloomingdale, starting at 8:00 a.m. in-person and virtually. All race proceeds go toward feeding children.
League of Women Voters Hosting Drinks & Dialogue Discussion
The League of Women Voters of Roselle-Bloomingdale will host a "Drinks & Dialog" event about the challenges of the 2021-2022 school year on August 25 at Wolfden Brewing, 112 West Lake St., Bloomingdale, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. This event is open to the public.
Special guests for the evening include Dr. Darlene Ruscitti, Regional Superintendent, DuPage ROE, Dr. Jeff Feucht, Superintendent of Lake Park High School District 108, Dr. Jon Bartelt, Superintendent of Bloomingdale School District 13, and State Representative Michelle Mussman, who chairs an Illinois House Committee on Education.

Relay for Life Holding Luminaria Event August 21
Relay for Life of Northwest DuPage & Northwest Cook is hosting a luminaria event on August 21 to remember and honor loved whose lives were touched by cancer. The event will be held at Turner Park, 81 E. Devon Ave., Roselle, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
