Welcome to the start of the 2021-2022 school year!
I am pleased that we are able to start the school year in-person this year and welcome our students back into our buildings. We are trying to be as pre-pandemic as possible with our efforts; however, we know that the pandemic is not over. We will continue to review our plans and adjust as necessary. As I’ve stated previously, our goal is for our students to be in school and stay in school. We want to reduce the number of quarantine cases and want to ensure that our doors are open each day for students to be in-person.
I ask you to think about where we were last year and where we are this year. Our students will be in school, and they will be learning. Volunteers will be in the schools and PTAs can have their meetings in the schools. Due to the current transmission level being HIGH, volunteers will only assist teachers and staff at this time. We will continue to assess and make changes as we can.
Our teachers and staff are ready and excited to welcome your children back to an in-person learning experience this year. We are grateful to our teachers and staff for all they have done to support our students over the past seventeen months, and all they continue to do to make this year the best possible for our students. ¡Bienvenidos al inicio del año escolar 2021-2022!
Me complace que podamos comenzar el año escolar en persona este año y dar la bienvenida a nuestros estudiantes de nuevo a nuestros edificios. Estamos tratando de ser lo más pre-pandemia posible con nuestros esfuerzos; sin embargo, sabemos que la pandemia no ha terminado. Continuaremos revisando nuestros planes y hacer los ajustes según sea necesario. Como he dicho anteriormente, nuestro objetivo es que nuestros estudiantes estén en la escuela y permanezcan en la escuela. Queremos reducir el número de casos de cuarentena y queremos asegurarnos de que nuestras puertas estén abiertas cada día para que los estudiantes estén en persona.
Les pido que piensen dónde estábamos el año pasado y dónde estamos este año. Nuestros estudiantes estarán en la escuela, y estarán aprendiendo. Los voluntarios estarán en las escuelas y las PTA’s pueden tener sus reuniones en las escuelas. Debido a que el nivel de transmisión actual es ALTO, los voluntarios solo ayudarán a los maestros y al personal en este momento. Seguiremos evaluando y haciendo cambios como podamos.
Nuestros maestros y personal están listos y emocionados de dar la bienvenida a sus hijos para una experiencia de aprendizaje en persona este año. Estamos agradecidos a nuestros maestros y personal por todo lo que han hecho para apoyar a nuestros estudiantes durante los últimos diecisiete meses, y todo lo que continúan haciendo para que este año sea lo mejor posible para nuestros estudiantes.
