1. CALL TO ORDER

8:00 AM meeting was called to order by Chair Julie Renehan at 8:01 AM.

2. ROLL CALL

No public comment was offered.

4. CHAIRWOMAN'S REMARKS - CHAIR RENEHAN

Chair Renehan thanked Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Director Murray Snow, Master Instructor Kevin Sur, Supervisor Corey Mulryan, and Specialist Adrian Ocampo for a recent visit to their department where ICS-300 training class was being conducted. The warehousing and distribution of the County's Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) supply was applauded and members were encouraged to also tour the facility. A follow-up report on Security will take place at the upcoming Finance meeting. The body camera proposal was refined over the last few weeks and is on the agenda today. Personnel from the Sheriff's Office are available to answer further questions.

JPS-P-0067-21 Recommendation for the approval of a contract to Medline Industries to provide the Sheriff's Office with vinyl examination gloves for the Jail, covering the period of 5/1/21 through 4/30/22 for a contract total amount not to exceed $60,000. Per renewal option under bid award 18-047-GV. This is the third and final renewal. (Sheriff's Office)

Member Desart requested clarification on the procurement process for bulk items, to which Chief Financial Officer Jeffrey Martynowicz answered.

Member Garcia requested clarification on the preparation and distribution of meals, to which Deputy Chief Dan Bilodeau replied.

Sole source provider. (Sheriff's Office)

Various members had questions pertaining to different aspects of the revised contract including clarification on body cameras, tasers, helmets, headcount, and training. Deputy Chief Dan Bilodeau and Undersheriff Edmond Moore responded and answered the members' questions.

Multiple members inquired on the eligibility of grants, funding of the cameras, status of the reserves, and the impact on headcount in other departments. Chief Financial Officer Martynowicz, Undersheriff Moore, and Deputy Chief Bilodeau responded and answered the members' questions.

Chair Renehan closed the discussion by thanking the Sheriff's Office for their efforts on the modified proposal.
