DuPage County Veterans Assistance Commission Met March 17.

Meeting called to order at 1902 hours at DuPage County Complex by Mayor with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor followed by a moment of silence for those departed and those who might be in harm's way.
Roll Call:
Bruce Mayor, Don Sender, Stanley Herzog, Joseph Craig, Del Miller, Rich Wagner, Frank Trout, and Phil Maughan A quorum was present.
Alternates in attendance: Lewis Delin, Alan Mendelssohn, and Leslie Turner

President's Opening Remarks: Jewish War Veterans Post #54 donated 70 $20.00 Visa Gift Cards to Hines Hospital. They were very appreciative about them. Last Tuesday, myself, Howard Goldstein and Steve went to the DuPage County Board Meeting and received a Proclamation from the County Board honouring the 125th Anniversary of the JWV. The JWV is the oldest continuously serving Veterans organization in the country. Today, me and Steve visited the Chicago Veterans Home. It looks great, but they still need furniture, staff and their licences.
