Bloomingdale Park District recently issued the following announcement.
Blackhawk Middle School's eighth-grade promotion ceremony will be held Thursday, May 20, at the football stadium at Fenton High School. (The rainout date is Friday, May 21.)
The ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m., and will be live-streamed on the District's website. Students should arrive for the ceremony no later than 6 p.m.
Although the ceremony will occur outdoors, COVID safety measures will limit the stadium's seating capacity to 25 percent. As a result, students will receive two admission tickets to the ceremony.
Face coverings will be required, and physical distancing of 6 feet should be maintained between parties.
