BENSENVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT 2: People's Resource Center - Register for free, virtual computer training, Microsoft certification course

Bensenville School District 2 recently issued the following announcement.

The People's Resource Center, a community partner of District 2, is offering a free, virtual computer training  course that will provide Microsoft Office Specialist certification.

The free, virtual certification courses will:

  • Validate your Microsoft Office skills to employers with recognized certification on your resume
  • Differentiate yourself in the job market
  • Increase your skill level in Microsoft Office
  • Broaden your abilities and increase opportunities for advancement
Classes will run for six weeks, from March 8 to April 15. Classes will meet virtually Tuesday and Thursday from 10-11:30 a.m. Independent study will be required for approximately three hours per day, 4-5 days per week Spots are limited.

There will be an additional virtual meeting on March 8 from 10-11:30 a.m. to kick-off the class session.

Applicants will be screened for basic computer skills and technology access before being accepted into the program.

Students must have Microsoft Office 2016, 2019, or a paid Office 365 subscription to take the class.

in addition to Microsoft certification, the People's Resource Center is also offering virtual computer training in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Word 1: 6 p.m. Mondays, March 22-April 26
  • Excel 1: 11 a.m. Tuesdays, March 23-April 27
  • Word 1: 11 a.m. Wednesdays, March 24-April 28
  • Excel 1: 6 p.m. Wednesdays, March 24-April 28
  • Excel 2: 6 p.m. Wednesdays, March 24-April 28
  • Word 2: 9:30 a.m. Thursdays, March 25-May 6
  • PowerPoint: 9:30 a.m. Saturdays, March 27-May 8
  • Word 1: 9:30 a.m. Saturdays, March 27-May 1
  • Excel 1: 10 a.m. Saturdays, March 27-May 1
