Bensenville School District 2 recently issued the following announcement.
The District 2 Board of Education approved the official 2021-2022 school calendar during its February 17 meeting.
Key dates are as follows:
- Beginning of the School Year: Classes will begin on Wednesday, August 18. District and Teacher Institute Days are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, August 16 and 17.
- Thanksgiving: Thanksgiving will be celebrated on Thursday, November 25. There will be no school that week, but Teacher Institute Days are scheduled on Monday and Tuesday, November 22 and 23.
- Winter Break: There will be no school from Monday, December 20, through Friday, December 31, with classes reconvening on Monday, January 3.
- Spring Break: There will be no school Monday, March 28, through Friday, April 1, with schools reopening Tuesday, April 4.
- End of the School Year: The last day of school will be Friday, May 27, unless emergency days are needed.
