Dear Editor,

In my roles as a member of the DuPage County Board and Vice President of Service Stampings Illinois Inc., I have a unique perspective on the importance of electing quality judges in our state and local community. This past election, others agreed with me and re-elected good judges for our 18th Judicial Circuit Court.

When laws are passed, they depend on fairness and impartiality in the courts in order to be upheld as they were intended. Good judges like ours understand this and do not use trials to change laws, leaving that role to policymakers. Judges respect the law and stay within the limits of their own authority.

Businesses such as my own depend on the consistency and dependability from judges to ensure fair trials. They make sure all parties have the equal opportunity to present their case and interpret the rules as they were intended. Our DuPage County courts are in good hands of judges who will hold to these standards.
