City of West Chicago issued the following announcement on Nov. 18.
The City of West Chicago is seeking a Maintenance Worker I in the Public Works Department.
The position performs various semi-skilled activities within the operation areas of streets, water distribution and sanitary and storm sewer systems. The position performs tasks in response to emergency overtime situations which include snow and ice removal.
Applicants must be 18 years of age, high school graduate or equivalent. Starting Salary is $48,635. A valid State of Illinois Driver’s License is required and a CDL Class B license with a Tanker Endorsement and without an Air Brakes Restriction shall be required within six (6) months of hire date.
