Gov. J.B. Pritzker is now limiting the number of people who can participate in funerals.

Funeral homes have taken to placing disclaimers in obituaries regarding funeral home capacity.

“Due to the spike in the COVID-19 infection rate, the Governor has limited building occupancy to 25,” read notices in two obituaries by the Leonard Memorial Funeral Home & Cremations.

While eyes have been focused on small businesses and restaurants across the state that have suffered economic impacts, little attention has been paid to other parts of Prtizker’s orders.

“Due to the ridiculous, arbitrary metrics @GovPritzkercontinues to change, this family has to limit attendees of friends that want to grieve with her parents and siblings. This is not right. No family should be subject to rules like this in their time of need,” Clarendon Hills resident Polly Ascher tweeted.
