Cost of college went up for all students at the G Skin & Beauty Institute

Tuition and fees rose 24 percent for 2018-19 at the G Skin & Beauty Institute, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $14,570 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $2,820 more than the $11,750 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 70 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 18 students received grants or scholarships totaling $80,391 and 29 students took out student loans totaling more than $202,760.

Including all undergraduates (367), 216 students used grants or scholarships totaling $819,599, and 258 students took out $1.9 million in federal student loans.
