City of Wheaton Board of Fire & Police Commissioners met March 2.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

I. Call to Order

At 1:38 p.m., the regular meeting ofthe Board of Fire and Police Commissioners was called to order by Chair Cannova. The meeting was held in the Conley Room at Wheaton City Hall, 303 W. Wesley St., Wheaton, lllinois. Upon roll call, the following were present: Chair Cannova, Commissioner Dulaney, Commissioner Haines, Commissioner lllia and Commissioner Wanzenberg. Also present was HR Generalist Newton, Police Chief Murphy, Lt Dillenkoffer and Sgt Gabryel. Lt Cooley joined the meeting at 4:55 and Sgt Gabryel left at 5:15.

II. Public Comment

None

III. Approval of Minutes

Commissioner lllia moved and Commissioner Dulaney seconded to approve the minutes of the February 10th regular meeting. The motion carried unanimously.

IV. Old Business

None

V. New Business

1. Commissioner Wanzenberg moved and Commissioner lllia seconded to approve the Initial Fire Eligibility List with Preference Points Awarded.

Commissioner Dulaney 

Commissioner Haines 

Commissioner lllia 

Commissioner Wanzenberg 

Nays: None

Absent: None

Motion Carrjed Unanimously

2. Commissioner Haines moved and Commissioner Dulaney seconded to end the probation for Poliice Officers Nawrot ad Niedbala.

Motion Carried Unanimously

Commissioner lllia moved and Commissioner Haines seconded to go into Closed Session forthe purpose of Police Officer Candidate interviews.

Commissioner Wanzenberg moved and Commissioner Haines seconded to adjourn the regular meeting at 8:57 p.m. The motion carried unanimously.
