Analysis: Lombard pays $4.59 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Lombard Firefighters Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 81.9 percent of the $3,498,328 the Lombard Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.59 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Lombard contributed $2,863,927 to the fund, which saw a $684,566 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $623,352, or 17.8 percent, in 2018. Another $11,049 came from other unspecified sources.
