Village of Bensenville Board of Trustees met April 28.

Here is the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER: 1. President DeSimone called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

ROLL CALL: 2. Upon roll call by Deputy Village Clerk, Corey Williamsen, the following Board Members were present: Franz*, Lomax*, Panicola*, Perez*

Absent: Carmona, Frey

A quorum was present.

Staff Present: E. Summers, J. Caracci*, T. Finner*, C. Williamsen

*Village Clerk, Nancy Quinn, Trustee Franz, Trustee Lomax, Trustee Panicola, Trustee Perez, Joe Caracci and Todd Finner attended the meeting via electronic means.

PUBLIC COMMENT: There was no Public Comment.

Trustee Carmona joined the meeting via electronic means at 6:32 p.m.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES: 3. The April 14, 2020 Village Board Meeting minutes were presented.

Motion: Trustee Perez made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Trustee Lomax seconded the motion.

All were in favor. Motion carried.

WARRANT NO. 20/08: 4. President DeSimone presented Warrant No. 20/08 in the amount of $1,841,769.14.

Motion: Trustee Perez made a motion to approve the warrants as presented.

Trustee Lomax the motion.

ROLL CALL: AYES: Carmona, Franz, Lomax Panicola, Perez

NAYS: None

Ordinance No. 17-2020: 5. President DeSimone gave the summarization of the action contemplated in Ordinance No. 17-2020 entitled an Ordinance of the Village of Bensenville, DuPage and Cook Counties, Illinois

Finding That a State of Emergency Continues to Exist and is Necessary to Protect the Public Health, Safety and Welfare of the Residents and Business Community.

There were no questions from the Village Board.

Motion: Trustee Perez made a motion adopt the ordinance as presented.

Trustee Lomax seconded the motion.

NAYS: None

All were in favor. Motion carried.

Resolution No. R-42-2020: 6. President DeSimone gave the summarization of the action contemplated in Resolution No. R-42-2020 entitled a Resolution

Authorizing the Execution of a Contract with Schroeder Asphalt Services Inc. of Huntley, IL in for the 2020 MFT Hot-Mix Asphalt Pavement Program – General Maintenance in the Not-to-Exceed Amount of $390,004.22.

There were no questions from the Village Board.

Motion: Trustee Perez made a motion approve the resolution as presented.

Trustee Lomax seconded the motion.

Resolution No. R-43-2020: 7. President DeSimone gave the summarization of the action contemplated in Resolution No. R-43-2020 entitled a Resolution to Approve an Ice Arena and Facility Usage License Agreement with MyHockey Tournaments Inc.

There were no questions from the Village Board.

Motion: Trustee Perez made a motion approve the resolution as presented.

Resolution No. R-44-2020: 8. President DeSimone gave the summarization of the action contemplated in Resolution No. R-44-2020 entitled a Resolution Authorizing a Facility Usage License Agreement with 200 x 85,

LLC. for the ChiTown Shuffle Youth Hockey Tournament.

There were no questions from the Village Board.

Motion: Trustee Perez made a motion approve the resolution as presented.

Trustee Lomax seconded the motion.

PRESIDENT’S

REMARKS: President DeSimone announced Village Hall remains closed to the Public. President DeSimone stated Residents can still make payments via the drop box located at Village Hall, by mailing payments to Village Hall or buy utilizing the Village’s online payment options.

President DeSimone announced he has executed an Executive

Order that extends the expiration for vehicle stickers and dog tags from June 30, 2020 to December 31, 2020.

President DeSimone reminds all to follow the guidelines provided by the CDC and practice social distancing along with wearing personal protective equipment.

MANAGERS

REPORT: Village Manager, Evan Summers, had no report.

VILLAGE ATTORNEY

REPORT: Village Attorney, Joseph Montana, had no report.

UNFINISHED

BUSINESS: There was no unfinished business.

NEW BUSINESS: There was no new business.

EXECUTIVE

SESSION: Village Attorney, Joseph Montana, stated there was not a need for Executive Session.

ADJOURNMENT: Trustee Perez made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Trustee Lomax seconded the motion.

All were in favor. Motion carried.

President DeSimone adjourned the meeting at 6:41 p.m.
