City of Wood Dale City Council met April 16.

I. CALL TO ORDER REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING (via Zoom teleconference) in accordance Governor Pritzker’s Executive Order regarding COVID-19: Mayor Nunzio Pulice, in accordance with the Meeting Notice for a Zoom Teleconference Meeting, called the Regular City Council Meeting to Order at 7:34 p.m.
II. ROLL CALL
Upon roll call, the following were:
Present: Aldermen Catalano, Jakab, Messina, Susmarski, E. Wesley and Woods
Absent: Aldermen Sorrentino, R. Wesley
Also Present: Mayor Pulice; City Clerk Curiale; Treasurer Porch; City Manager Mermuys; Police Chief Vesta; Legal Counsel Bond; IT Director Kace;
Finance Director Wilson; Public Works Director Lange; AICP/CD Director Cage; Management Analysis Kate Buggy
Whereupon the Mayor declared a quorum present.

**Alderman Sorrentino entered the Zoom teleconference at 7:35 pm.
Alderman Susmarski made a motion, seconded by Alderman Sorrentino, to approve the Regular City Council Minutes of April 2, 2020, as presented. When the question was put, a voice vote was taken with all Aldermen voting Aye.
Whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried.

VI. MAYOR’S REPORT
A. Arbor Day Proclamation 2020
Mayor Pulice proclaimed April 24, 2020 as Arbor Day in the City of Wood Dale and urged all to celebrate Arbor Day and to support efforts to protect our trees and woodlands.
i. Vehicle Sticker Renewal: The Mayor commented that the City Council understands the financial strain facing our residents during the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to ease that burden, the Council has approved the decision to provide 2020/2021 vehicle stickers at NO COST to residents. All residents who have a current vehicle on file with the City will receive a mailed sticker to display on their vehicle. Stickers must be displayed in the lower passenger side of the front windshield by June 30. New or additional vehicles and/or updated information can be provided to City Hall during regular business hours at (630)766-4900.
ii. On behalf of the entire City Council, the Mayor thanked the entire Staff and all Departments for keeping things moving forward here in Wood Dale during this pandemic. A few residents’ have called thanking the City for keeping things running.
VII. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT
City Manager Mermuys reported:
i. The City has hung new spring banners that have been installed on Irving Park Road and also on part of Wood Dale Road.
ii. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and for the safety of the entire Wood Dale Community, the City has had to make the difficult decision to postpone or cancel some of our events. The City has done this with Bike with a Cop, Public Works Open House, Arbor Day Celebration, The Green Fair, and most recently the Memorial Day Parade. The City values the health and well-being of its Residents above all, and looks forward to providing these community events again in the future. He encouraged all our Residents to follow the City’s social media and visit the City’s website www.wooddale.com for the most up to date information, including special event updates.
Mayor Pulice added that at a DMC meeting, many other communities have cancelled their events up through June, and there is ongoing discussion concerning the possibility some events in July might be cancelled.

The Mayor questioned if there were any objections to the Consent Agenda. Hearing none and on a motion by Alderman Jakab, seconded by Alderman Susmarski, to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. When the question was put, a roll call vote was taken with the following results:

Whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried, approving the following:
