Meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. in Conference Room 3500-A of the Jack T. Kneupfer Administration Building, 421 North County Farm Road, Wheaton, Illinois.
Roll Call
On roll call, Chairman Reyes was present and Commissioner Sommario was present via phone call.
Public Comment No public comment.
Approval of Regular Meeting Minutes from March 5, 2020 and March 24, 2020.
Chairman Reyes called for motion approving the meeting minutes from March 5, 2020 and March 24, 2020. Commissioner Sommario moved. Seconded by Chairman Reyes. Roll call. All Ayes. Motion carried.
Commissioner Vasbinder joined the call at 8:31.
Report from the Sheriff’s Office - none
New Business
a) Budget Status - Ms. Bothwell presented the current Revenue and Expenditures report.
b) Bills Payable - Ms. Bothwell presented the bills payable list. Chairman Reyes called for a motion to approve payment. Commissioner Sommario moved. Seconded by Commissioner Vasbinder. Roll call. All ayes. Motion carried. Chairman Reyes signed the invoices.
c) Candidate Status - Ms. Bothwell provided a status on how many candidates are in which phase of the certification process.
d) Entrance exam registration update. As of April 2,2020, the Commission received 139 qualified exam registrations. The Commissioners discussed extending the registration deadline to May 1, 2020. The Commission decided to postpone the entrance exam to a future date. Chairman Reyes called for a motion to extend mail-in registration to May 1, 2020 and postpone the April 18, 2020 entrance exam. Commissioner Sommario moved. Seconded by Commissioner Vasbinder. Roll call. All ayes. Motion carried.

Adjournment into Executive Session
Chairman Reyes called for a motion to convene into Executive Session Pursuant to 5 ILCS 120/2 (c) (1) of the Open Meetings Act for the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the public body – one-on-one interviews. Commissioner Sommario moved. Seconded by Commissioner Vasbinder. Roll call. All ayes. Motion carried.
Chief Moore, Deputy Chief Bilodeau, and Counsel Bruckner left the room. The Commission convened into Executive Session at 8:48 am.
The Commission convened back into regular session at 9:54 a.m.

Action on certification of candidates who were subject to one-on-one interviews on April 2, 2020. Chairman Reyes called for a motion to certify candidates 1166 and 1169 and not certify candidate 1173. Commissioner Vasbinder moved, Seconded by Chairman Reyes. Roll call. All Ayes. Motion carried.
