Illinois State House District 45 issued the following announcement on April 27.
State Rep. Diane Pappas, D-Itasca, is promoting the Alzheimer’s Association resources to support residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia and their families during the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.
“As a result of this pandemic, some residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia may be in an assisted living environment where visitation is not allowed,” said Pappas. “I encourage residents to use these resources to help them stay connected with loved ones during this difficult time.”
Pappas is promoting resources through the Alzheimer’s Association to help residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia during COVID-19. If you or someone you know is in need of assistance, residents can contact the Alzheimer’s Association’s Helpline at 1-800-272-3900 or visit their official website at www.alz.org.
“These services can provide information, guidance and support for senior citizens and their families,” Pappas said. “During this unprecedented health crisis, no one should be forced to face Alzheimer’s or dementia alone.”
