City of Wood Dale City Council met Feb. 6.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

I. CALL TO ORDER REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING:

Mayor Nunzio Pulice called the Regular City Council Meeting to Order at 7:30 p.m. Upon roll call, the following were:

Present: Aldermen Catalano, Jakab, Sorrentino, E. Wesley and Woods

Absent: Alderman Messina, Susmarski and R. Wesley

Also Present: Mayor Pulice, Treasurer Porch, Legal Counsel Bond, City Manager Mermuys

Whereupon the Mayor declared a quorum present.

II. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES

Alderman E. Wesley made a motion, seconded by Alderman Woods, to approve the Regular City Council Minutes of January 16, 2020. When the question was put, a roll call vote was taken with the following results:

Ayes: Aldermen Catalano, Jakab, Sorrentino, E. Wesley and Woods

Nays: None

Whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried.

IV. COMMUNICATIONS AND PETITIONS:

V. MAYOR’S REPORT

A. UDO Steering Committee Appointments

The following individuals were appointed for the UDO Steering Committee: Steve Krych, Lynn Curiale, Mitch Tau, Nadine Ames, George Vant along with Aldermen Catalano, Jakab, Susmarski and Woods.

VI. CITY MANAGER’S REPORT

City Manager Mermuys reported:

i. Wood Dale for a Greener Tomorrow now has updated recycling information on the City’s website under the Residents tab. All City Staff has been scheduled to attend training in March through the SCARCE organization so the City can receive earth flag certification.

VII. CONSENT AGENDA

A. Omnibus Vote

The Mayor questioned if there were any objections to the Consent Agenda. Hearing none and on a motion by Alderman E. Wesley, seconded by Alderman Woods, to approve the Consent Agenda, as presented. When the question was put, a roll call vote was taken with the following results:

Ayes: Aldermen Catalano, Jakab, Sorrentino, E. Wesley and Woods

Nays: None

Whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried, approving the following:

i. Purchase of a 2020 Ford Explorer 4x4 in an Amount Not To Exceed $32,232

ii. A Resolution Approving an Agreement with Baxter & Woodman for Professional Services for the FY 21-22 Capital Roads Program in the Amount Not to Exceed $120,970

On a motion by Alderman E. Wesley, seconded by Alderman Jakab, to approve the individual Items on the Consent Agenda, including Items 1 and 2. When the question was put, a roll call vote was taken with the following results:

Ayes: Aldermen Catalano, Jakab, Sorrentino, E. Wesley and Woods

Nays: None

Whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried.

i. On a motion by Alderman Woods, seconded by Alderman E. Wesley, to approve a Resolution to Endorse the Legislative Action Program of the DuPage Mayors and Managers Conference for the 2020 Legislative Session. When the question was put, a roll call vote was taken with the following results:

Ayes: Ald. Catalano, Jakab, Sorrentino, E. Wesley & Woods

Nays: None

Whereupon the Mayor declared the motion carried.

X. APPROVAL OF LIST OF BILLS: February 6, 2020 - - $ 1,249,572.04

On a motion by Alderman Woods, seconded by Alderman E. Wesley, to approve the February 6, 2020 payment of the List of Bills as presented, in the amount of $1,249,572.04 for the following:

• General Fund $ 328,446.84

• Road & Bridge Fund --

• Motor Fuel Tax Fund $ 1,882.43

• Tourism Fund $ 6,113.36

• Narcotics Fund $ 2,132.00

• TIF District #1 $ 8,185.00

• Capital Projects Fund $ 44,389.56

• Commuter Parking Lot Fund $ 2,431.25
