DuPage County is accepting donations of PPE and other medical supplies.

Donations are being accepted in DuPage County for medical supplies and personal protection equipment to assist in the coronavirus response. Anyone who has PPE equipment can donate it using www.protectdupage.org website.

DuPage County is calling on schools, businesses, and residents to donate.

Supplies needed for donations are masks that are N-95 or higher, gowns, gloves, face shields, eye protection, and sanitizing materials such as wipes. With the potential of a health care supply shortage, DuPage County is being proactive.

"Our first responders and medical professionals are on the front lines of this unprecedented fight against COVID-19. Keeping them safe is of the utmost importance as they continue to care for our residents," DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin told Patch. Only donations of unused PPE are being accepted by the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (OHSEM).

DuPage County is asking for items that are not opened. The county cannot accept open materials as they could be non-sterile.
