BENSENVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT 2: TAKE THE CHALLENGE: Students can keep learning at home like they do at school

Online

Bensenville School District 2 recently issued the following announcement.

Bensenville School District 2 implemented its new E-Learning plan on Wednesday, March 18, in response to school closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Implementing this E-Learning plan demonstrates our commitment to providing our families with plenty of opportunities to continue learning at home -- opportunities that are similar to those their children experience in school.

Please understand, though, that if your child does not complete all of the day’s E-Learning lessons, that is fine.

The intent of E-Learning is for students to continue working with the teachers with whom they typically interact five days a week. Maintaining a similar routine during these unprecedented times can reduce stress and uncertainty for students through social interaction, even if it is done remotely.

To support their social and emotional well-being, we also want to encourage students to get outside, exercise, and play their favorite games. To find creative ways to keep in touch with classmates and connect with their friends and relatives, all while practicing appropriate social distancing measures, of course.

In the midst of this uncertainty, our hope is that our E-Learning platform will provide our students and families pleasant and productive ways to make the most of their time together.

Thank you for your participation in the efforts. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these challenging times.
